Mascha's art

Größer als ich

This lithography by Mascha Rodigina gmorkl was sketched on a long, cold evening when she forgot her key at home and went to a bar to draw her sketches for the March 2026 printing session in Berlin. This work is the most recent step in Mascha's investigations on infinities of forms, ideas and subtle changes that define the big picture of a whole life. Special about this picture is that its subtopic is faked spontaneity, and the composition was just sketched in advance. The final form was found directly on the stone. The challenge of changes while drawing on the stone is that you have to keep in mind that the drawing will be flipped (what also happens when printing a linocut). The bold oil crayon lines and thick harmonic shapes make this infinite curve to a strong moral support for you, its future owner. Just look at this richness of details — you'll never get bored looking at this sheave of light! 52,5×74,5 cm, warm red lIthography colour on Hahnemühle handmade paper There are 2 more prints of this work in red and 3 in blue. Each print is different from the others.
